Now in its 21st year, the event returned in an exciting new concert format, featuring four powerhouse vocalists from Seasons 1 and 2 of “Midlife, Sing & Shine!” , including FC Tam, Miranda Li, Stacey Long, and Ryan Lau, who took the stage in Vancouver for a spectacular night of music and fan interaction. The evening kicked off with hosts Mary Lo, Mandy Chan, and Fion Yung, who set the stage for an exhilarating show. As the four singers made their grand entrance, they greeted fans and handed out gifts, instantly igniting the crowd’s excitement.

Miranda Li, a vocal powerhouse who has touched countless hearts through television, finally had the opportunity to showcase her voice live in front of her Canadian fans. She performed her signature song “Just Between Dreams and Reality” as well as her latest release “One More Day to Forget You”, both of which deeply moved the audience. As a seasoned vocal coach, she also displayed her versatility by delivering a lively rendition of the Latin pop classic “La Isla Bonita”, proving her exceptional vocal range and musical style.

Next up was the immensely popular “Little Dragon Girl” Stacey Long, who entered the stage to thunderous cheers. Known for her stunning renditions of Teresa Teng’s classics, she performed heartfelt versions of “Goodbye My Love” and “Fragrance in the Night”, mesmerizing the audience with her delicate and emotional delivery. She further thrilled fans by singing Anita Mui’s legendary hit “Dream Partner”, bringing everyone back to the golden era of Cantopop. As a special treat, she gave an encore performance of her newly released song “You’re the One I Want to Love Most”, marking its first-ever live performance in Vancouver.

Ryan Lau, affectionately known as “Captain Wai Wong” among fans, brought his signature energy and charisma to the stage. He performed “Embracing Tears”, a song that won him recognition during “Midlife, Sing & Shine!” along with two nostalgic classics—“2001: A Space Odyssey” and “Where There’s Only You and Me”. Ever the entertainer, he encouraged the audience to clap and sing along, creating a lively and interactive atmosphere. He then joined with FC Tam for a stunning duet of “Caught in Between”, beautifully capturing the emotional struggle between friendship and love, leaving the audience in awe.

Closing the performance part was FC Tam, a reserved yet incredibly powerful performer. The moment he stepped on stage, fans enthusiastically waved their light sticks and cheered in support. He chose to sing “Choices”, a song that had earned him high praise during “Midlife, Sing & Shine!” delivering an inspiring message about chasing dreams fearlessly. He also performed the heartfelt ballads “Slowly” and “Grateful”, expressing his deep appreciation for his wife and loyal fans that have supported him unconditionally. His sincere words and emotional delivery left many in the audience teary-eyed.

The night wasn’t just about music—fans also had the chance to interact with their idols through fun games! Lucky audience members were invited on stage to team up with the singers for two exciting challenges. The first game, “Teamwork Bounce Challenge”, tested the coordination between singers and fans as they raced to pick out ping-pong balls from a game box within a time limit. The competition was fierce, and after an intense showdown, Ryan Lau’s team emerged victorious. The second game, “Tempo Jump”, challenged participants to make quick decisions based on given questions, jumping to the correct answer spot as fast as possible. It was a tight match, but in the end, Ryan’s team won by just one point. All teams were rewarded with fantastic prizes, making for a thrilling and laughter-filled experience.

and Autograph Session

The highly anticipated “TVB Fairchild Fans Party” is now in its 21st year, the event is making a grand return in a brand-new concert format. This year, we are thrilled to welcome four outstanding vocalists from Seasons 1 and 2 of “Midlife, Sing & Shine!”—FC Tam, Miranda Li, Stacey Long, and Ryan Lau—to Vancouver, bringing Canadian fans an unforgettable night of music and close interaction!

As soon as the four singers arrived in Vancouver, they made their first public appearance at the “TVB Fairchild Fans Party Press Conference and Autograph Session”. Fans eagerly gathered to catch a glimpse of their idols, creating an electrifying atmosphere. On the day of the event, Aberdeen Centre was packed with excited fans that arrived early, hoping to see their favorite artists up close. When the four stars stepped into the venue, the crowd erupted in cheers, proving their immense popularity. The singers took time to sign the backdrop featuring their photos and shared their excitement about being in Canada with host Mary Lo.

A versatile artist, Ryan Lau first gained recognition in 2009 as a contestant on “The Voice”. He later ventured into business, but his passion for music never faded. In 2023, he returned to the stage for season 2 of “Midlife, Sing & Shine!” making it to the Top 8 and earning high praise from both judges and audiences. Ryan shared his excitement about trying local cuisine, exploring Vancouver, and performing a special set list for his Canadian fans.

Known as the “Little Dragon Girl of Mong Kok”, Stacey Long rose to fame as a street performer in Hong Kong before gaining widespread recognition on streaming platforms. In 2022, she competed in “Midlife, Sing & Shine!” and won the 4th place, along with the prestigious “Most Popular Singer Award”. When asked if she would busk on Vancouver’s streets, she laughed and said she hadn’t planned for it, but if given the chance, she would love to try. The enthusiastic cheers from fans showed just how much they supported her!

A true vocal powerhouse, Miranda Li stood out in “Midlife, Sing & Shine!” with her deep musical foundation and distinctive voice, securing 2nd place. Her rising popularity led to opportunities to perform theme songs for several TV dramas. As a vocal coach and owner of her own music academy, she is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of singers. When asked if she would consider hosting singing workshops in Vancouver, she admitted her schedule was packed but hoped to use this opportunity to connect with fans and share her musical journey.

Making his first-ever visit to Vancouver, FC Tam may have a reserved personality, but he expresses deep emotions through music. In 2023, he participated in season 2 of “Midlife, Sing & Shine!” as an amateur singer and won the 2nd place, launching his music career. Just two months after his debut, he held his first solo concert, “Tam Fai Chi Fight for You Concert”. Seeing the overwhelming support from Vancouver fans, he was both surprised and touched, expressing his hope to hold a concert in Canada in the future. When asked if his No.1 supporter, Deborah Lee, would attend, he playfully said he wasn’t sure but would definitely welcome her presence. He also reminded fans to arrive on time for the concert, so they wouldn’t miss out on any of the performances!

The four singers then drew lucky fans from the audience, giving away the last few highly sought-after tickets to the “TVB Fairchild Fans Party”, pushing the excitement even higher! To commemorate the occasion, Mr. Todd Ye, Vice President and Assistant General Manager of Fairchild TV and Talentvision (Western Division), presented the artists with special Canadian souvenirs, welcoming them and wishing them a successful show. Finally, the highlight of the night—the autograph session—allowed fans to meet their idols up close, creating lasting memories.
